BECOME A SYSTEMS ADVOCATE
Help Change the Conditions That Create Instability
Direct assistance matters—but so does changing the systems that make housing, healthcare, behavioral health services, benefits, and other essential supports difficult to access. STAY welcomes community members who want to learn, speak up, and help advance more accessible and person-centered systems.
Join advocacy alerts and learn about policies affecting housing stability, homelessness response, behavioral health, Medicaid, and social care.
Help translate community experiences into recommendations for agencies, institutions, and policymakers.
You do not need to be a policy expert to become an advocate. Your experience, perspective, and willingness to learn matter.
Share lived or professional experience to help identify service gaps and barriers.
Support educational campaigns that promote dignity, autonomy, and meaningful access to care.
Attend public meetings, community forums, listening sessions, or legislative events.
Share tools, co-create materials, and back efforts that center lived experience in shaping policies and programs.
